Just a reminder to everyone, and you can let your students know as well. This week we implement the cell phone/technology policy. Last week was a grace period but that period is officially over. If you see a phone, earbuds, etc. please tell the student to turn them into the office. Please see below the scope and sequence of consequences: 

• First offense: Device turned into the office. Phone call home.

• Second offense: Device turned into the office. Parent/Guardian must pick up device.

• Third offense: Device turned into the office. Parent/Guardian must pick up device. 1 lunch detention.

• 4th offense: Device turned into the office. Parent/Guardian must pick up device. 2 lunch detentions

• 5th and subsequent offenses: Device turned into the office and parent pick up. 1 day OSS

Would you like to get in at half price to home games? Joining Booster Club will allow those with their membership cards in to all home competitions (excluding tournaments) for half price. Breakfast: PK-6 $2.15; 7-12 $2.30; Adult $3.00
Lunch: PK-6 $2.70; 7-8 $2.80; 9-12 $ 2.90; Adult $4.00
Those Qualifying for Reduced Prices: $0.30 for breakfast and $0.40 for lunch
Extra Milk/Juice Prices: $0.50

Each family is asked to file a Free/Reduced Meal Application form. The district follows the USDA Eligibility Guidelines to determine Free/Reduced students.

You may also fill out the application online through the Parent Portal in TeacherEase. Login to your account, scroll over to Miscellaneous, and choose the application.

Does your child have a food allergy that school personnel should be made aware? If so, please download the Medical Statement for Student Requiring Meal Modification form and have it completed by your medical professional. This is a yearly document that must be kept on file with the district. CHS beautifully completed the football courtyard in the summer of 2013. As an extra feature, an outlined C is inlaid with red bricks in the cemented courtyard between the concession stand and the football field bleachers.

Specially engraved bricks may be designed and purchased to place in this outlined C. This is a unique way to "leave a lasting impression" or to honor people who have been associated with the Concordia R-2 School District. This is a chance for students, alumni, teachers, and patrons of the district to show their school spirit.

Over 60 bricks have already been ordered and installed in the courtyard. Take time to check out the courtyard!

Some ideas of information to have engraved on the bricks are names of students, names of families, years attended school, year graduated, sports and activities involved in, special memories, etc.

This project is a combination of site beautification, recognition, and community building which has become a main purpose of the Oriole Strong program at Concordia R-2. The attractiveness and permanence of the installed engraved brick courtyard will be enjoyed for years to come.
