9/11/2024  PTO Hat Days

Pay $1 for your child to wear their hat to school. Money collected will provide funds, resources, support, and more to the CES Community.

Hat days are: Sept. 13, Oct. 4, Nov. 1, Dec. 6, Jan. 10, Feb. 7, Mar. 7, Apr. 4, and May 2.

9/10/2024

• The treasurer's report shows a balance of $4,347.58.
• They don't have an exact amount for the Steer Stand yet, but it is estimated to be around $400 profit for us.  Thanks to all the Parents and Teachers that helped work the stand.
• We discussed adding another fundraiser to take the place of the Concordia Tractor Pull since it was cancelled due to rain.  Sarah is setting up a date for a McTeacher night.  We will send out information on that as soon as we get it.  We will need as many teachers there as possible.  This is an easy way to raise money for PTO.  We just show up and help serve people and have fun.  It will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Other fundraisers mentioned were:  Pancakes with Santa, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Mouse races & PLINKO, etc.  If you have any other ideas, please share them with me and I will let the board know.  We decided to cancel the Trivia night in October because it was the same night as the fundraiser that the Drama Club is doing at the high school and we didn't want to take away from their first fundraising event.  The Bundt Cake sales will be from March 28-April 4th and pick up is set for April 15th.  
• We will set a date for the PTO carnival and the Mother Son night as soon as we have a basketball schedule.  We don't want to set it when it will conflict with another school event.
• The board has made some new By-laws to be reviewed so we can vote on them.  The By-laws that we have had in the past have been lost so they have formed new ones.  If you received a copy of them at the meeting, please look it over and let me know if you see anything that you feel needs to be changed or if there is anything that you would like to see added to it.  
• We approved Mr. Thompson's request to pay $300 for the subscription for the Home & School Connection resource that he will add to his monthly bulletin he sends out to parents. 
• The PTO board will be providing Mr. Thompson with a report of what is happening with PTO by the 20th of every month.  He plans to add that information to his monthly newsletter to parents.  Please plan to share this information in your newsletters home also.  
• The Next PTO Meeting will be held on November 14th at 6:00.  We are going to try to set it up so you can join us on google meet if you can't be present.  Hopefully that will make it a little easier for you to attend meetings and help support our PTO.
